MRSB Accounting and Assurance Division is seeking an experienced Audit Manager and Senior Auditor to join our dynamic team, with the primary responsibilities including:
Managing client files to ensure delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services
Executing, and completing audit, review and compilation engagements, including budget and resource planning
Coordinating and performing audit procedures for a range of clients with complex and specialized audit procedures
Identifying key drivers of performance, business trends and emerging industry developments
Providing bookkeeping and investment accounting for corporations
Engaging with firm quality control procedures
Mentoring, developing and overseeing the junior accounting team
Maintaining relationships with clients and generating new business opportunities
The ideal candidate will offer:
CPA Designation plus minimum of 3 years’ experience in the public accounting industry
Strong understanding of Canadian General Accepted Auditing Standards
Strong understanding of ASPE, ASNPO, PSAB and IFRS
Strong technical expertise in audit, accounting and tax
Experience using CaseWare Working Papers, TaxPrep, Sage50 and QBO
Excellent time-management, organizational, communication and analytical skills; high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to support, mentor and train a team of professionals during field assignments while actively managing the engagement process; team player with strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
Ability to do some local travel

We are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our dynamic team of professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of quality planning and compliance services to our client base working within our Tax Services division and will liaise directly with senior management and the Tax Partner.
Tax Accountant responsibilities include:
Involvement in tax filings (including T1, T2, T3 returns), to ensure all tax related matters have been adequately addressed
Assist in tax planning services to clients
Research tax issues and prepare memoranda
Identify client service opportunities
Participate in special engagements
Enhance existing, and developing new, community relationships and networks
Supporting firm staff in respect of tax matters
The ideal candidate will offer:
CPA (CA/CMA/CGA designation)
Currently enrolled in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course, or willing to enroll
1 – 3 years of tax related industry experience
A keen interest and desire to learn about Provincial and Canadian tax laws
Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
Critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions and best practices
Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
Excellent research and project management skills
