Tax Manager
We are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our dynamic team of professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of quality planning and compliance services to our client base working within our Tax Services division and will liaise directly with senior management and the Tax Partner.
Tax Accountant responsibilities include:
- Involvement in tax filings (including T1, T2, T3 returns), to ensure all tax related matters have been adequately addressed
- Assist in tax planning services to clients
- Research tax issues and prepare memoranda
- Identify client service opportunities
- Participate in special engagements
- Enhance existing, and developing new, community relationships and networks
- Supporting firm staff in respect of tax matters
The ideal candidate will offer:
- CPA (CA/CMA/CGA designation)
- Currently enrolled in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course, or willing to enroll
- 1 – 3 years of tax related industry experience
- A keen interest and desire to learn about Provincial and Canadian tax laws
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions and best practices
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
- Excellent research and project management skills
