As we wind down for the holiday season, our Accounting & Audit and Bookkeeping teams wanted to host one final fundraiser in 2014 in support of the Autism Society of PEI. Staff were invited to bake or make a batch of Christmas treats and bring them to the office. Once all participants' donations were laid out in our lunch room, anyone who wanted to take part paid $10, which bought them a cute gift box that they could fill to the top with treats!
The accounting team has been supporting the Autism Society of PEI all year, as this fantastic organization provides support, advocacy, and awareness around Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Our Christmas treats trade-off raised a total of $180 for the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island.
First of all, thanks to everyone who's already taken part in our #SpiritofGiving Twitter campaign. Your nominations have resulted in donations to both the PEI Humane Society and the Upper Room Food Bank, two stellar organizations that help people - and our furry friends - on Prince Edward Island.
This is our final week for #SpiritofGiving, so make sure to log on to Twitter and let us know who should receive this week's $25 donation. Every little bit helps, after all. Happy Holidays!
In case you didn't get a chance to take part last week, there's still plenty of time to name your favourite PEI charity for a chance to gift a $25 donation in your name. See details below and get involved before Friday at 4:00 - Happy Giving!
