Terry Soloman, CPA, CA, TEP

Partner, Tax Services

Joining MRSB Group in 1990, Terry became a partner in 1996. He saw a need for specialized tax services in the region and completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Specialist Course the same year. Terry has over 20 years’ experience in public accounting and currently specializes in owner-managed tax issues, providing high net-worth clients with advice on business and personal tax structuring. He assists clients in succession planning, acting as a trusted advisor as they prepare to sell or pass on their business. Terry also represents many clients in their dealings with the Canada Revenue Agency, liaising on their behalf. He is a designated Trust and Estate Practitioner and a board member of the Atlantic branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Canada. Terry provides tax and financial planning workshops to branches of government, businesses and community organizations. He has served as a board member and President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Prince Edward Island.  A long-time supporter of local hockey, Terry is a board member and coach with the North River Minor Hockey Association. When not busy at the rink with his three children, Brooke, Sam and Elly, Terry enjoys spending time with them and his wife Sandra.






John Connolly, BBA, CPA, CMA

Senior Tax Manager

John received his Certified Professional Accountant designation in 1992. When he joined the MRSB team in 1999, he had 12 years of experience in the construction and manufacturing industries, during which he was responsible for several aspects of commodity tax compliance for a large group of companies in Saint John, New Brunswick. He began his current role with MRSB Group in 2003 after completing the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course. John works with clients on a wide range of tax matters including corporate reorganizations, trusts, personal and corporate income tax compliance and GST/HST compliance. John lives in Cornwall with his wife Emily and their two sons. He enjoys reading mystery and adventure novels and taking wildlife and landscape photographs.







Mary Ann Donahoe

Tax Manager

Mary Ann joined the team in 2009, bringing with her over 25 years of experience in public accounting. She began her career with a small accounting firm and later spent five years with a national firm before joining MRSB. Since joining the team Mary Ann has completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and focuses mostly on assisting clients with their varied tax needs. She manages the completion of personal income taxes for MRSB clients and assists clients in personal and business tax matters such as trusts, corporate reorganizations, tax planning and compliance. Mary Ann lives in Cardigan with her husband John and enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with their three children and first grandchild.





Colin Dawson, CPA, CA

Tax Manager

Colin joined the MRSB team in September 2013. After completing his Bachelor of Business Administration (Co-operative) from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2003, he entered the accounting field. Colin gained several years of practical experience with a variety of clients and successfully obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2012. Colin has close to ten years of experience in public accounting with a focus on assurance and accounting engagements with small- to medium-sized businesses, municipalities and not-for-profit organizations. He also has significant experience in preparing personal and corporate tax returns. He is committed to providing quality work to our new and existing clients while understanding and appreciating the challenges faced by independent businesses in today’s economy. A ‘true Islander’, Colin has always lived in Prince Edward Island and looks forward to raising his family here.





Martin Goguen, CPA, CA

Director of Tax Recovery Services

Martin is a chartered professional accountant and a seasoned tax recovery specialist with over ten years’ experience in the field. After receiving his CA designation in 2000, Martin worked as a sole practitioner in the area of commodity taxes and for several multinational accounting firms. After practicing in Ottawa, Montreal and Moncton, he moved to Prince Edward Island in the summer of 2013, joining MRSB Group to lead their emerging Tax Recovery service. During his career, Martin has accrued in-depth knowledge that can be applied to various industries. Working with hundreds of organizations of varying size and industry, Martin has generated significant refunds and helped clients optimize their tax compliance. Martin lives in Charlottetown with his wife Christina and their five children, Kassandra, Amaya, Dylan, Trinity and Emma.





Colin Younker, CPA, FCA

Senior Tax Advisor

Colin joined Shaun MacIsaac in 1981 as the first partner in what would become MRSB Group. During the initial years he helped turn the small accounting practice into one of the region’s most respected services firms. In 2002 he accepted a 10 year term position as Auditor General of Prince Edward Island. Following the term’s successful completion Colin returned to public practice and has rejoined the firm in his current role as Senior Tax Advisor. Colin brings a broad professional background and 21 years of experience in the taxation realm to his role, and enjoys working with his colleagues to ensure clients receive quality tax advice for their businesses. His continued enjoyment at working with clients and his dedication to the profession keep Colin engaged and motivated to help businesses of all sizes reach their goals. A father of three, Colin lives with his wife Debbie in North Wiltshire and enjoys spending time with their first grandchild.





Chris Arsenault, BBA, CPA, CA

Tax Advisor

Chris joined the MRSB team in May 2013 after completing his Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Prince Edward Island.  He passed the 2014 UFE Evaluation, and received his CPA, CA designation in March 2016. He began in the Accounting and Auditing division at MRSB and moved to the Tax Services department in January 2015 and is currently enrolled in the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax course which he began in the fall of 2015 and expects to finish this course in the spring of 2018. His current role with MRSB Tax Services is advising clients on tax matters whether it be personal matters or incorporated business matters. Chris lives in Stratford with his wife Pamela and is a sports enthusiast when he is not working. He has been a volunteer in minor hockey and minor baseball as a coach and is also a member of the Charlottetown Fawcetts fast pitch team.
