We have a history of providing post-secondary students on Prince Edward Island with valuable job experience that takes them a step closer to reaching their career goals. Our ongoing program for students enrolled in the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy (ASCA) helps support these students during their studies, both financially and via mentorship.
We support our CPA students in several ways:
- A salaried position at our Charlottetown office for the duration of your studies (dependent on successful completion of each module according to course schedule)
- Medical benefits, vacation and sick time
- Mentorship from one of our certified CPA staff: coaching, time management, prep-exam marking and review, valuable insights into the program from those who have been there
MRSB also offers summer internship positions to students pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees and who are thinking of becoming a CPA. Students work for 12 weeks as Acccounting Technicians, a position that provides valuable experience in a busy office environment and assists you in making an informed decision about your future career. Students who show aptitude for the profession and a solid work ethic may be offered a position as they pursue their CPA designation.
At MRSB, we try to customize our internships according to each student's individual preferences. We feel there is no better way to learn the ins and outs of a profession than to immerse oneself into an environment that practices it each day. You will find our team supportive, knowledgeable and willing to provide you with the foundation you need to excel as a CPA.
